After back to back disastrous outings with Gokul directed Kaashmora, and Kaatru Veliyidai / Cheliya directed by Maniratnam, Karthi scored success with his 2017 year end blockbuster Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru which was directed by H Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame and was about real life crime incidents that spanned over a decade.
After the success of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Karthi is currently shooting for his next directed by Pandiraj who last delivered 3 back to back flops, Pasanga 2, Kathakali and Ithu Namma Aalu. This movie co-stars Sayyeshaa as the main female lead besides Priya Bhavani Shankar and Sathyaraj in important roles.
Meanwhile, it was announced officially by the producer of the movie, actor Suriya who produces the flick in his 2D Entertainment that the movie is named Kadaikutty Singam in Tamil and Chinna Babu in Telugu. It must be noted that Chinna Babu is the name of Karthi's 2016 hit Oopiri costar Nagarjuna's 1988 flop movie. Let's see if Karthi can score a hit with the title of his co-star's flop movie.
