The Mallu beauty Nivetha Thomas, who had previously starred in few Malayalam flicks , and also had debuted in Tamil as the heroine, in films like Poraali, Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham, without success, and also played the legend Kamal Haasan's daughter in the family thriller Papanasam, later went on to debut in Tollywood, and earned her first success as a heroine, with her debut as a heroine, the 2016 action thriller Gentleman, that had her paired with Natural Star Nani.
Post the success of Gentleman, Nivetha Thomas went on to pair with Nani yet again, in the Shiva Nirvana directorial romantic entertainer Ninnukori , and the movie became a runaway hit, with Nivetha's performance throughout the movie being appreciated a lot by critics, especially her intense emotional act towards the climax of the movie, which almost overshadowed the subtle and calm performances of Nani and Aadhi Pinisetty. She was later seen in a small yet contrasting role in Jr NTR starrer Jai Lava Kusa, and surprisingly, she had displayed some hotness, as opposed to her homely image, and oozed oomph on screen.
Later Nivetha had one final release in 2017, Juliet lover of Idiot, the long-delayed movie costarring Naveen Chandra, which released without much hype and hoopla, and went unnoticed thanks to its poor screenplay, and sank without a trace. Post the movie, Nivetha had taken a big break to concentrate on her education, and now that she has completed her exams, Nivetha has signed a movie opposite Naga Shourya, which will be directed by cinematographer turned director Sai Sriram. This movie will be a romantic flick and will begin shooting in March.
