The legend of Indian cinema, the acting maestro, Padmashri Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan, and the epitome of versatility in Tamil cinema, Chiyaan Vikram, have one thing in common besides their thirst to experiment and excel with different roles and scripts - they both belong to Paramakudi. Naturally, the whole industry had always wanted this duo to come together soon on screen for a movie.
This combo is all set to come together after all, as Chiyaan Vikram will star in a movie to be produced by Kamal Hassan's Raajkamal films international banner and trident arts banner together, and this movie will be directed by Rajesh M Selva, Kamal Hassan's erstwhile assistant who had debuted in 2015, with the action thriller Thoongavanam starring Kamal. Initially, the makers were keen to rope in Shruti Haasan as the female lead. But she closed the offer and that went to her baby sister.
Most of us don't know about this as they just announced Akshara is the female lead. This yet to be titled collaboration of Kamal and Vikram will be scripted by Kamal himself and is planned as a quickie to be wrapped in 60 days, with shooting planned in Mumbai and Malaysia. The movie might even have Kamal's cameo. Vikram now has his Kitty full, with this movie, Saamy 2 aka Saamy square, Dhruva Natchathiram, and Mahavir Karna.
