Bollywood Director Neeraj Pandey, who shot to fame with the anti-terrorism flick A Wednesday, the heist drama Special 26 starring Akshay Kumar, and another patriotic flick Baby, later went on to direct the Superhit Biopic of captain cool Dhoni, as MS Dhoni The Untold Story, winning hearts of millions of fans.
Just as he keeps directing one hit after the other, it has become a habit for directors down south to remake his films and score easy success as well, as it all started with A Wednesday was remade by Chakri Toleti in Tamil and Telugu with Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Venkatesh as Unnai Pol Oruvan/ Eenadu which scored decent commercial success at the box office.
While Suriya recently scored a big comeback blockbuster with Thaana Serndha Koottam / Gang, the official remake of special 26 by Neeraj Pandey, the Tamil film industry has set plans for its next Neeraj Pandey remake as well, as Jayam Ravi will star in the remake of Baby which will be directed by Ahmad who recently delivered Manithan, the remake of Jolly LLB. Neeraj Pandey has himself recommended Rakul Preet
Let's see if Ravi can score a hit with baby. Meanwhile, Neeraj Pandey will have his next release, Aiyaary starring Siddharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpai and Rakul Preet Singh on February 9.
