Director Kranthi Madhav won the critics and audience alike, and proved himself as a maker of caliber, with two movies in two different genres, both taking the audience on an emotional roller coaster ride, namely the Rajendra Prasad starrer Onamalu and the Sharwanand - Nithya Menen starrer Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, both receiving fairly good response, making him a promising director.
However, his third film, which released a month back, has already put his career in dire straits, with its absolutely disastrous result, and the movie happened to be the Sunil - Prakashraj - Mia George starrer Ungarala Rambabu, which was made to be revolving around issues faced by poor farmers, and ended up neither as a message-oriented commercial entertainer, nor as a Sunil brand comedy caper, ultimately sinking without a trace at the box office.
However, the failing director is lucky enough to have bagged a huge biggie, as he has impressed none other than the phenomenon of Tollywood, the man who took the industry by storm with his sensational and bold performance in Arjun Reddy, Vijay Devarakonda.
The actor, who's already doing a movie in Geetha Arts 2 for Bunny Vas, directed by Parasuram and costarring Rashmika Mandanna, and another directed by Rahul Sankrityan, will start this Kranthi Madhav flick by April, and this movie will be funded by veteran KS Ramarao. Rashmika will team up with him in this new venture. Let's see if Vijay Devarakonda's energy can save Kranthi Madhav's career.
