The popular actor Vijay Sethupathi, fondly called Makkal Selvan by his numerous fans, scored two blockbusters last year with Kavan and Vikram Vedha and had his last release last week, oru nalla naal paathu solren, which is running to packed houses despite negative reviews, as the families are enjoying the illogical humour in the movie.
He's currently busy with a number of projects, and the most expected of them happens to be Super Deluxe directed by talented maker Thiyagarajan Kumararaja, who was acclaimed for his national award-winning debut flick Aaranya Kaandam (2011), and this movie will have Vijay Sethupathi playing a transgender named Shilpa.
Also starring Samantha as a killer named Vaembu and Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan and director Mysskin as a priest, Super Deluxe will be releasing after August. Now it has been revealed that the makers are planning to send the movie as a contest entry for the prestigious Cannes film festival. Let's see if super deluxe earns huge recognition for the efforts of Thiyagarajan Kumararaja and Vijay Sethupathi at the international level.
