Wordplay and dialogue expert, the Maverick maker Trivikram Srinivas, faced a huge career setback, with his last release, which happened to be the landmark 25th flick of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, Agnyaathavaasi. The film sank without a trace and ended as a huge disappointment for both PK and Trivikram fans.

Following the disastrous Agnyaathavaasi, Trivikram was all set to join hands with young tiger Jr NTR for his 28th flick, which was supposed to begin shooting this month. However, there were numerous speculations on the film that Trivikram had planned to base the movie on the detective novel Shadow by renowned writer Madhu Kumar, and had even planned the title as Shadow. Trivikram has sworn to his close ones that it's not a rip off any novel or another script.

However, the writer Madhu Kumar has quashed the rumors saying that there are no such plans for him to write for Trivikram's next, and he wasn't even approached for the project at first place. It must be noted that Trivikram is under tremendous pressure to deliver a blockbuster, following the criticism on Agnyaathavaasi and it's plagiarism from French flick Largo Winch.
