Just like many in the industry, Venky Atluri had a very bad start to his career, as he started off as an actor initially, playing the lead in Gnapakam, and then one of the leads in Sneha Geetham. But since both the films ended as disasters, Venky Atluri moved on to assisting direction in movies.
Venky assisted Madura Sreedhar in It's my love story, and also as a co-writer in Dil Raju production Kerintha, the web series Muddapappu Avakaya, besides Akkineni family films like Oopiri and Akhil's Hello. It was after all these experiences and numerous struggles that Venky Atluri finally ended up getting his debut Directorial venture.
As he impressed Varun Tej even during shooting times of loafer and Fidaa, he had bagged the opportunity to Direct him In Tholi Prema, which was liked by Dil Raju, who could not produce it due to numerous commitments and ultimately ended up releasing it after being bankrolled by BVSN Prasad. Tholi Prema has ended a memorable romantic hit, and now Venky Atluri has been committed by Dil Raju and another producer for two untitled flicks.
