After scoring numerous hits in the recent years as a hero, natural star Nani has made a comeback as a producer with his second production venture, Awe directed by Debutant Prashanth Varma. Has the Multi-starrer hit the bullseye? Here's team AP Herald's exclusive Awe first report.
The film is about how a deserted soul Kali (Kajal Aggarwal), and different characters played by Nithya Menen, Regina Cassandra, the demure Eesha Rebba, the chef Priyadarshi, magician Murali Sharma and the scientist Devadarshini are connected to each other, and whether they all achieved their ultimate motives is what Awe is all about.
Kajal Aggarwal delivers a spirited performance and is the heart of Awe, and is closely followed by Nithya Menen and Priyadarshi who brightens up the proceedings with his subtle humor. Regina Cassandra and the rest of the cast are adequate and play their roles well.
With support from impressive Cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni and melting background score by Mark Robin, director Prashanth Varma weaves an interesting and emotional screenplay that tugs at the heart, filled with adequate twists and feel good moments sans cliches or dull proceedings, that makes Awe, an exciting flick that deserves a watch.
