Of late, it has become a habit for Bollywood stars to enter Tamil or Telugu industry, in character roles, and make a lasting impression. From yesteryear actors like Om Puri, Amrish Puri, Saurabh Shukla, to Shahrukh Khan in Kamal's Hey Ram, to the recent debut of Vivek Oberoi in Vivegam starring Ajith, and Akshay Kumar in the Superstar Rajnikanth's upcoming 2.0, Bolly stars have always had an eye on the South market.

Now, the latest to join the bandwagon of Bollywood actors Taking a Kollywood route is none other than Actor/ Director Ajay Devgn. Reportedly, talks are on to rope in the national award winning actor, in the upcoming Tamil/Telugu biggie, Indian 2/ Bharatheeyudu 2, directed by Shankar. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the team has also approached Deepika Padukone to do the female lead role. However, the actress is yet to say 'Yes' and sign the dotted line.

The movie, which is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian, will most probably be the Cinema swansong of Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, who's entering active politics soon. The film might have Ajay Devgn as the officer on the hunt for the vigilante hero, Deepika as an undercover cop if signed on the dotted lines, and the movie might have a Hindi release too, just like the original , which was released as Hindustani and won the national award for kamal Haasan.
