The Tollywood Lady superstar Anushka Shetty, who struck back with a bang with her last release Bhaagamathie directed by G Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame, has been a relieved person, as the actress had faced flak prior to Bhaagamathie with the failure of films like Size zero, with SS Rajamouli's Baahubali alone offering some respite for her.
Post the success of Bhaagamathie, the bubbly beauty hasn't signed any new projects, and she has given her nod to star only in the upcoming venture of romantic and classy maker Gautham Vasudev Menon's Ondraaga, the sequel to his blockbuster love story Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, which will co-star Madhavan, Puneeth Rajkumar, and Tovino Thomas.
Now, the industry is abuzz with news that Anushka has been approached to play the lead role in the Telugu remake of the latest Tamil hit Naachiyaar that starred Jyothika and GV Prakash in lead roles, and directed by the national award-winning maker Bala.
While Kalpana Koneru has acquired the rights of Naachiyaar and was planning to dub the movie in Telugu, reportedly Bala had suggested remaking the movie with Anushka, and now Kalpana is awaiting Sweety's nod to play the tough cop in Naachiyaar remake.
