Akkineni prince Nag Chaitanya, after the disastrous results of his last few flicks like Rarandoi Veduka Chudam and Yuddham Sharanam, is currently starring in two flicks, the Chandoo Mondeti directorial Savyasachi and the Maruthi directorial, opposite Anu Emmanuel.
For the past few months, there had been several speculations that Naga Chaitanya will be playing a special role in Mahanati, the upcoming biopic of the legendary actress Savithri, which has the mallu beauty, Keerthi Suresh, playing the lead role, with even his wife Samantha playing an important role of a journalist.
This special role was to play none other than his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the biopic, and finally, after months of speculations the actor has given his nod to play ANR on screen and will shoot for his part on two days, (today and tomorrow). The movie also stars Prakashraj, Shalini Pandey, and many others, and the whole shoot is planned to be wrapped by March 21.
