She had recently wrapped up shooting for her part in the upcoming biopic of legendary actress Savithri, Mahanati aka Nadigaiyar Thilagam directed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subrahmanyam fame. While the movie has Keerthi Suresh playing Savithri, Samantha plays a Journalist in whose view the whole movie is presented.
While sharing her joy of being a part of such a prestigious project, Samantha also took it to Twitter to express her happiness on working quickly and wrapping 3 projects in the same month, the Ramcharan starrer Rangasthalam, Siva Karthikeyan starrer Seema Raja and now the biopic Mahanati.
