Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, who had last made a silver screen presence with his production venture Jai lava Kusa starring brother Jr NTR, and last seen on screen in disastrous flicks like ISM and Sher, has made a comeback to screens with MLA - Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi, directed by debutant Upendra Madhav, and costarring Kajal Aggarwal. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive MLA first report.

MLA is all about Kalyan Ram who falls for Kajal Aggarwal, who has a focus on education of children, and situations make him indulge in a battle with the politician Ravi Kishan who impacts the studies of children, in an attempt to impress Kajal Aggarwal and win her heart. Whether Kalyan Ram was able to thwart the plans of the evil and cunning politician Ravi Kishan and win his love is what MLA is all about.

Kalyan Ram delivers an okayish performance and tries hard to look like a stylish guy, with less impact. The pretty Kajal Aggarwal is the USP of the movie, as, despite her role with minimal scope for performance, she delivers a passable act, and looks glamorous and sets the screens on fire with her gorgeous presence. Ravi Kishan is cliched.

While Mani Sharma's songs give a sense of Deja vu, director Upendra Madhav's screenplay takes the cliched route and is filled with too many predictable scenes, and both the romantic track and the conflict point are presented in a boring and uninteresting manner, making MLA, just a passable venture.
