Reportedly Karthik Subbaraj had given him the complete script and had discussed with Rajnikanth who had left the cast and crew choices to Karthik Subbaraj himself.
It has been said that Rajnikanth has given him 45 days call sheet for the movie. Buzz is that 4 heroines are in consideration to play the female lead and they're Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Trisha, and Anjali. While Deepika Padukone had starred with Superstar Rajinikanth in the animated movie Kochadaiyaan, Nayanthara started her career itself pairing with Rajnikanth in Chandramukhi, besides also appearing for a song in Sivaji and a cameo in Kuselan.
Trisha has been waiting for an opportunity to star with Superstar for long, as she has already paired with all top heroes of Tamil cinema.
