Bharat Ane Nenu begins depicting the happy college life of Bharat Ram abroad, whose life changes once he enters India, and some unfortunate and unanticipated events lead to Bharat taking the throne, as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He slowly learns that several conspiracies had lead to the assassination of his dearest ones, and with the early rage, Bharat, unguided, takes several steps which earn him the public displeasure of being a harsh and non-planning, adamant politician.
The one life-changing experience transforms Bharat into a perfect statesman, and he takes all necessary steps to bring peace and happiness for his people, while also being constantly challenged by the evil team lead by Devaraj and Ravishankar. How Bharat wins in his mission, defying odds, and lives up to his promise is what the stunning Bharat Ane Nenu is all about.
Mahesh Babu delivers a top notch performance of his career with Bharat Ane Nenu, and as Bharat Ram, he presents the gradual transformation from an enraged young politician to a focused leader, and giving him ample support are veterans Prakashraj and Rao Ramesh who deliver fine supporting acts. Kiara Advani looks pretty and emotes perfect. Songs by Devi Sriprasad are charbusters already, with O Vasumathi, Vachadayyo Saamy and Bharat Ane Nenu being the picks.
Tirru's cinematography is top notch. Koratala Siva has handled a sensitive and relevant subject, and has laced it with commercial elements in his trademark style, without neither going preachy nor going extremely massy, and gives a finely balanced product in Bharat Ane Nenu, which works very well with the perfect elevation sequences and emotional sequences connecting to the masses and classes, in right proportion.
A true era-defining film
All said Bharat Ane Nenu is a landmark movie, for Mahesh Babu, and a perfect comeback for the Superstar!
