Ultimate star Ajith Kumar was last seen on screen, in the 2017 action thriller vivegam directed by Siva and costarring Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek Oberoi and bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi films banner. The success of the film prompted the team to come together yet again for their next movie Viswasam.
The shooting got delayed due to the Tamil film industry strike which went on for 48 days, and Nayantara who took a break from 'Sye Raa' completed the shooting before Diwali. The movie released along with 'Petta' and has achieved a huge success.
The movie has Thala Ajith in an all-new look and will be a rural entertainer, which will have him paired with lady superstar Nayanthara after Billa, Aegan, Arrambam, and has music by D Imman. Nayantara who focuses on female-centric movies has paired with Ajith and now she's happy with the success. She also proved that she won't accept shallow roles in future.
