Ace maker Maniratnam, who had his last release Kaatru Veliyidai /Cheliyaa starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari, which was his 25 th movie, released last year, took his time to come out of the failure and is currently actively shooting his next project, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam / Nawaab.
The movie has a huge ensemble cast, and one of the main actors of the movie, veteran Arvind Swamy, a Maniratnam favorite who had worked with Mani in Roja, Bombay, Alaipayuthey, Kadal, has reportedly completed shooting his part in the movie today. Arvind Swamy reportedly plays a politician in the movie and will be paired with Jyothika.
Chekka Chivantha Vaanam deals with the issue of a nuclear power plant and its impacts on people, and the politics surrounding it, with Vijay Sethupathi playing a cop, and Arun Vijay playing the antagonist, and Simbu playing a key role. All the 4 heroes reportedly play brothers, and Prakashraj and Jayasudha play their parents. The movie also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh.
