The controversial actor Simbu aka STR, last seen in the disastrous flick Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan AAA, had been on a brief sabbatical before he sprung back to action shooting for Maniratnam's multistarrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which has already wrapped shoot.
While the announcement of Mankatha, Chennai 600028 maker Venkat Prabhu joining hands with Simbu was made last week, under the production of Suresh Kamatchi, today, the title poster of the movie was released. The movie which happens to be Venkat Prabhu's 9th has been titled Maanaadu, with the tagline, A Venkat Prabhu politics. The hunt for the female lead is on and now the team has approached Rakul Preet for the female lead role.
Going by the looks and title, the movie is gonna be a hardcore political entertainer, with Venkat Prabhu brand entertainment, and the movie has been scheduled as a Summer 2019 release. Meanwhile, Simbu's father T Rajendar also launched his next movie after the dud Veerasamy, titled Indraya Kaadhal Da.
