Super Star Krishna is known for his daring attitude. He is the trendsetter in Tollywood. He is credited with producing many technological firsts in the industry.

They include first eastman color film Eenadu (1982), the first cinemascope film (Alluri Seetharama Raju), first 70mm film (Simhasanam), first DTS film (Telugu Veera Levara) (1988) and introducing cowboy and James Bond styles to the Telugu screen.

When NTR ruled the industry with mythological epics, he dared to take him on when noone ever dreamed of. He even tried to enact ANR's Devdas in his own style. He shot Mahabharata, titled Kurukshetram in realistic manner at Kurukshetram itself in North. This created sensation as Kurukshetram became highest budget movie in 80's approximately with budget crossing more than Rs 1cr.

The film had the star studded cast of Super star krishna, Shobhan babu, balayya, krishnam raju, satyanarayana. According to the latest the film may entertain once again in 3D. Ace director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao expressed his wish to take Kurukshetram in 3D. Wonder whether he is referring to Super Star's extravagant film of 80s.
