It's a known fact that Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan is all set to star next in the sequel to his 1996 blockbuster Indian directed by Shankar, and it has been said that the shooting of this movie will commence by October once Kamal completes his hosting assignment for Bigg Boss.
On the other end, Kamal's stardom has been fading, as his last release, another sequel Vishwaroopam 2 directed by himself, and released after a delay of 5 years met with disastrous results, putting a big question mark over the legend's commercial stamina and box office potential.
While Shankar has been in Cudappah and Prodattur hunting locations for Indian 2, it has been said that Lyca productions which is supposed by bankroll Indian 2, are not ready to spend a fortune for Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2'. This difference of opinion itself has paused the movie's progress right now.
