The 2005 Tamil movie Sandakozhi directed by Lingusamy and starring Vishal and Rajikiran, Meera Jasmine, had become a huge blockbuster, becoming the comeback of Lingu, and the arrival of Vishal as an action hero after a soft role in his debut Chellame.
The movie's success was attributed to one another person as well and it was none other than the film's antagonist played by Malayalam actor Lal, who had debuted in the movie, and his menacing acts were appreciated and helped to elevate heroism and offered plenty of goosebumps.
But, the movie's sequel failed. In this case, Varalaxmi who is now fondly called as Makkal Selvi has appealed to her friend Vishal that he should compensate her with a new movie chance and it should be a hopeful performance.
