Ratsasan was a movie that had been in the making for more than 3- 4 years, and despite being made with saleable stars like Vishnu Vishal and dusky babe Amala Paul, and made by director Ram Kumar who had a victorious debut with the rural comedy entertainer Mundasupatti, the movie did not release.
However, all the issues were sorted out, and the movie opened to a massive response, and the audience enjoyed the thrills and chills offered by the suspense thriller. The movie won both the critics and the Box-Office. Now, the remake is done by Bellamkonda and Anupama in the Telugu version.
Speaking to a daily, Amala Paul said that the original cannot be recreated by any actor. Vishnu Vishal did something remarkable and I am sure, Bellamkonda can't do justice. Maybe he can do it in his own style, but he can't match the original.
