Versatile hero Suriya was last seen in the comic caper Thaanaa Serndha Koottam which was the Tamil remake of the Bollywood superhit Special Chabbis, and the movie which was released on Sankranthi ended an average outing, adding to the flop streak of Suriya.
However, the hero went on to film for his next movie, his 36th project directed by the critically acclaimed maker Selvaraghavan titled as NGK, and while it was speculated that Suriya was playing a politician in the movie, here's an interesting update on his character in the movie.
Reportedly the movie has Suriya playing a character named Nandhagopalan Kumaran, who is a farmer as well as a politician, and his character fights for the rights and welfare of farmers. The movie has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and also stars Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh.
