Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan, who was last seen in the sports drama Dangal directed by Nitesh Tiwari had his next release after a gap of 2 years, with Thugs of Hindostan released as a Diwali treat. But the movie ended as a Box-Office disaster.
Released amidst huge expectations, the period drama set in the backdrop of Thugs vs East India company, stars Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh and is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya of Dhoom 3.
The movie has met extremely negative reviews and has been trashed by critics worldwide but has taken the best openings for a Hindi movie grossing 50.75 crores, and with Tamil and Telugu versions together grossed 52.25 crores worldwide.
