Supreme hero, Sarathkumar's daughter Varalaxmi Sarathkumar had made her debut with Simbu aka STR starrer Poda Podi and had been known for her performing skills and dancing abilities though she did not have hits.
Having scored a hit with Vikram Vedha costarring Vijay Sethupathi, Madhavan andKathirr and having proved her massy dancing potential in Thara Thappattai, the actress was recently seen as a politician in copycat political drama Sarkar.
While she's set to play Sasikala reportedly in the Jayalalitha biopic iron lady directed by Priyadarshini, she's now been roped in to play another political role as well, as she plays Vijaya, joint secretary of State, law and judiciary in Dhanush starrer Maari 2 by Balaji Mohan.
