Tamannaah was last seen under her Dharmadurai director Seenu Ramasamy's Kanne Kalaimaane, a rural entertainer which had her playing a bank officer, and she paired with Udhayanidhi Stalin. Udhayanidhi and Tamannaah are busy promoting the movie, and Tamannaah opened about the role.
Tamannaah was in Vellore for Malabar Golds and Diamonds showroom event and when talking with fans, Tamannaah opened up that Kanne Kalaimaane portrayed her in a different dimension. But she also confessed that she's more comfortable with glamour roles.
