Last year was a bad year for Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, as his three releases of the year, Touch Chesi Chudu, Nela ticket and the most hyped and expected Amar Akbar Anthony, all ended as disastrous outings at the box office, and almost sunk his career which was slightly helped by Raja The Great.
Next, the actor had signed to work with VI Anand known for his Oka Kshanam and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, in a retro theme movie titled as Disco Raja set in the 80s period. While the movie was initially supposed to start in December the shoot was delayed.
This has been said to be changed in the script for which Abburi Ravi has joined the team, and for construction of sets in Ramoji film city, and hence after these works are over, Disco Raja costarring Nabha Natesh and Payal Rajput will begin shooting from mid-week of March. The team has decided to rope in Kajal for an item number and already she has allotted her call sheet dates. After Jr NTR, Kajal has accepted an item number for Ravi Teja.
