Senior hero Victory Venkatesh was last seen playing a hero in a full-fledged role in 2016 movie Guru directed by Sudha Kongara, which was a dud, despite good critical reviews. His earlier movie Babu Bangaram was also a flop despite coming with a great buzz and having his hit heroine Nayanthara.
Since then he had not starred in any movie in lead role, and was seen playing cameos in movies like Premam and Agnyaathavaasi, and had been taking time to sign his next movie, and it was finally Anil Ravipudi who convinced him to sign the multistarrer F2 Fun and Frustration costarring Varun Tej.
Released on January 12 as Sankranthi Special, F2 has scored big at the box-office, as Vinaya Vidheya Rama and NTR Kathanayakudu are less appealing, and with Tamannaah's extreme glam and Venky's stunning comedy form, F2 has turned out to be family favorite and has grossed more than $2 million in US Box office, his second after Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and has become a perfect comeback for Venky. The actor is now back to winning route and is happy to sign an array of movies.
