In 2016 Siva Karthikeyan had a release Remo directed by debutant Bakkiyaraj Kannan and produced by 24 am studios RD Raja. The movie was a love story that also starred Mallu beauty Keerthy Suresh, Saranya Ponvannan and KS Ravikumar, Sathish, Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
The movie brought a new angle to Siva Karthikeyan's career as the movie had him in a female nurse avatar for most parts of the movie and the movie had emerged a blockbuster movie winning against Devi and Rekka that festive season.
After 2 years now the director is all set to strike screens with his next which will be an action thriller starring Karthi and this movie will begin after Karthi completes his gangster film with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Rakul Preet was again suggested to be the female lead. But after the failure of 'Dev', Karthi has ignored Rakul and both the movies will not have any female leads.
