Young rising hero Karthi was last seen in the Family entertainer Kadaikutty Singam and has scored back to back hits with cop thriller Theeran Adhigaram Ondru and the rural entertainer back to back. The actor, however, failed with his last release 'Dev'. Now, the movie has faced heat as how it cleared censors.
Karthi's last release was a road thriller Action romance flick Dev directed by Debutant Rajath Ravishankar and costarring Rakul Preet Singh who plays his romantic interest second time after Theeran Aadhigaram Ondru. The movie has been officially censored a clean U before the release.
Now, the movie has faced heat as one of the ex-censor board officials has questioned authorities that how can the movie be given a clean 'U' as it had Rakul's glamour to another level. Earlier, Suriya's 'Anjaan' faced similar heat as it got a clean 'U' despite Samantha's bikini show. 'Dev' also stars veterans Ramya Krishnan, Prakashraj and Karthik besides Nikki Galrani and Mental Madhilo fame Amrutha Srinivasan in pivotal roles.
