Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut scored a huge hit in 2014 with the Blockbuster Queen directed by Vikas Bahl that co-starred Lisa Haydon and Rajkumar Rao. The film went on to win her a national award for best actress, and also established herself as a superstar.
Now, the south remakes of the hit flick have started shaping up after huge rounds of discussion for casting and rights. While the Kannada version of Queen has been titled Butterfly and will star Parul Yadav who earned rave reviews for her performance in Killing Veerappan, and is directed by actor/Director Ramesh Aravind.
Reports now confirmed that the Kannada Version of 'Queen' titled as 'Butterfly' completed its censor formalities and got cleared as 'U/A'. But, there are no signs of Tamil, Telugu versions. An inside source revealed that both Kajal and Tamanna are yet to complete patchwork shooting.
