The Oscar road is clear for a Gujarati film. ‘The Good Road’, a Gujarati film from India has been nominated for Oscar Awards. The National Award winning film ‘The Good Road’ was announced as  the India’s film to represent in the category of Foreign Language film category at Oscar Award functions next year.

The Oscar selection committee announced on Saturday that the Gujarati film ‘The Good Road’ has edged out all it’s competitors and stood as India’s best film for Oscar Award. The Gujarati film has surpassed all it’s competitors like ‘Lunch Box, Bhaag Milka Bhaag, English Vinglish and Vishwaroopam’.

The selection committee has scrutinized about 22 films from different parts of India and shortlisted three films Lunch Box, Bhaag Milka Bhaag and Vishwaroopam for the finalization of the film. The 19 members selection committee has unanimously announced ‘The Good Road’ for Oscar . The Gujarati film ‘The Good Road’ story revolves around the lost-and-found story of a small boy. Gyan Correa is the director of this film.Seven-year-old boy Adithya plays lead role in the film.
