National award winner Dhanush was supposed to join hands with Karthik Subbaraj before 2 years when Iraivi was about to release, and the movie was supposed to be produced by Thenandal Studios limited.
However its been 2 years and the movie is yet to be started at all and in meantime, Karthik Subbaraj went on to direct Superstar Rajnikanth himself in Petta, and Dhanush went on to act in more than 5 movies in the gap.
Now, the project is set to begin in June and the major change it has undergone is that the movie will be bankrolled by YNot studios and not Thenandal as the banner has huge losses since Mersal, and this movie might have Al Pacino. Also, the movie which was touted to have Kajal as the female lead will now have Rakul Preet as the female lead.
