After the grand success of multi-starrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, ace director Maniratnam will be directing another epic historical multi-starrer the movie version of the renowned author Kalki Krishnamurthy's classic novel Ponniyin Selvan.
It has been speculated that Chiyaan vikram will play Aditya Karikalan, jayam ravi will be seen as Arulmozhi Varman, Keerthy suresh will play Kundhavai, Mohan Babu will star as Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar, and aishwarya Rai will play Nandhini Devi while Big B amitabh bachchan will be seen as Sundara Chozhar.
It has been said that aishwarya Rai is a little busy and the research and pre-production work for the movie on the famous Cholas is going on and a lot of work and effort is being put in to make the movie look authentic and also the character getups and the movie will begin shooting only by 2019 end.
