The recent Sensational issue in the country is the sexual harassment allegation made by an ex house staff of the Chief Justice of india Ranjan Gogoi, and later a panel of the Supreme court gave a clean chit to the CJI.
This lead to protests by activists and Lawyers all over the nation seeking proper investigation and against the clean chit to CJI. Protesters got arrested by police, and recently Singer chinmayi announced to protest against supreme court judgment on CJI to be held near Valluvar Kottam in Chennai.
chinmayi had filed a permission application at the Chennai police commissioner office for organizing the protest before 2 days but Chennai police dismissed her application citing reason that as the protest was against the whole judicial system, the permission could not be given.
