2016 saw the release Tollywood flick Pellichoopulu featuring vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma and helmed by director Tharun Bhascker Dassyam and the movie was a superhit establishing vijay Deverakonda.
After that Blockbuster success, the Tamil remake rights of the movie was taken over by director gautham Vasudev Menon, and it was announced that his erstwhile associate Senthil Veerasamy, will be the director of the movie.
The movie was named Pon Ondru Kanden and was to feature vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah in the lead though it was shelved. And now the latest buzz is that the remake of Pellichoopulu will again start with vishnu Vishal and will be helmed by a debutant named Divya.
