Madras, Kabali and Kaala fame director Pa Ranjith had in a recent meeting spoken badly regarding the rule of Chola King Rajaraja Chola and called his tenure as the dark phase of Tamils with lands seized from people. He directed
huma qureshi for Rajini's 'Kaala'.
With huge outrage from netizens, currently, a police complaint was filed against the director in
thanjavur's Thirupanandhal police station in Tanjore on charges of provoking caste, religious and racial ideas and for causing violent reactions. Then he got anticipatory bail.
In the video of his speech which went viral, he degraded the Chola rule saying they made
women as prostitutes and told people to unite and grab their lost lands back and this video has now impacted the maker who was scripting his Bollywood debut, Birsa Munda. Now, another fresh case has been lodged against the director once again for his bad remarks and a warrant has been issued against him.
