Filmmaking these days involves a lot of cost and time is of the essence because delay means a lot of loss and also less patience from the audience. But it appears that Mahesh Babu and superstar Rajnikanth are in the same situation. This is in terms of their films and their completion.
Mahesh was to arrive with his film ‘1-Nenokkadine’ long back but the shooting part is just getting over and post production activities are happening. As for Rajini, his film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ was due for release during Diwali then it was scheduled for December 12th as it was his birthday.
Now, it is heard that this is being postponed to Sankranthi which would be pongal time in Tamil Nadu. The reason for this constant delay has become a mystery. While it is heard that in both cases, the directors Sukumar and Soundarya Ashwin were aiming for perfection, the delay is causing uneasy situation.
The consolation is ‘1-Nenokkadine’ seems to have fallen in track now and is very likely to arrive on January 10th, 2014 as announced. As for ‘Kochadaiyaan’ there are talks that still some part of shooting and graphics work is left. This is not a really good sign for the industry and its business.
