After failures like Goutham Nanda, Pantham and many more, action hero Gopichand returns to the silver screen with a spy thriller directed by Tamil maker Thiru and costarring Mehreen Pirzada, in Chanakya. Here's team AP Herald's first on net Chanakya first report.
Agent Gopichand turns rogue after his friends are kidnapped by Pakistani terror outfits, and enters pakistan as a rogue to find his friends. He follows terrorist Qureshi's son Sohail with the support of Zareen Khan. As both Indian and Pakistani soldiers and terrorists Chase him, how Gopichand completes his mission is what Chanakya is all about.
Gopichand is good as an action hero but strictly average in emotions and Mehreen is just used as a beauty asset in the movie. zareen khan and upen patel deliver bad performances. With weak and predictable screenplay and loud music, the only positive in this action thriller is the stylish visuals captured by Vetri and the action sequences, and otherwise, Chanakya is a skip worthy stuff.
