Allu Arjun's army themed film ‘Naa peru Surya' tanked completely at the box primarily because of highlighting the protagonist as larger than life hero, the telugu audience is not buying the army themed flicks nowadays.
Latest offering in terms of army related movies in Tollywood is ‘Operation gold fish’, the film written and directed by sai kiran Adivi casted Aadi as NSG commander in the movie, as all regular army films have related issues like, terrorism, Kashmir, and army operations, depicting the hero as larger than life, Operation gold fish is similar to these concepts, it doesn’t offered anything new and fresh.
Directors should come up with ordinary struggles of the army people rather than showcasing them as a hero who can kill almost every enemy. Most of army themed movies ideas are borrowed from previous films. Unless Tollywood comes up with new ideas relating to patriotic themed movies the chances of this films getting tanked is almost full.
Aadi Saikumar heroics in Operation gold fish movie looked sometime unbelievable. Directors should take cue from movies like Roja and recently released Uri- the surgical strike.
