Ever since Samantha took to Twitter to attack Mahesh Babu on his latest film on the poster of 1-Nenokkadine which she termed regressive, she has become butt of actors fan gangs .She and her boyfriend Siddharth are subjected to a barrage of criticism.
Even after Mahesh himself admonished his fans to desist from virtual attacks the issue is still a rage in electronic and web media .
At a promotional interview to a television channel for 1-Nenokkadine, Mahesh quipped that Samantha should have called him or his wife Namrata if she found the poster objectionable instead of voicing her opinion directly on the internet. Samantha has acted with him in two of his successful movies, Dookudu and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and the actress knew him personally.
But their relations have soured up after the authorities banned the poster and drawn focus to the Samantha-Mahesh twitter row .Industry sources say that though Samantha has won her point against the poster , the issue which snowballed into a Fan club gang war had now stunted the actress future assignments with Mahesh .
Industry sources say that Mahesh was personally aggrieved by the ' moral policing ' of Samantha as she had brought official focus on the poster which the film industry and trade had accepted and ignored its lapses or its abrasive and objectionable features . Whose side is Samantha ? is the big question asked every where
