Telugu film trade had witnessed an interesting scenario last weekend. Two films, Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda and Heart Attack released last Friday. The former carried good talk and reviews than the later. And obviously, it expected that PPT does well at the box office. But Heart Attack did better of the both.
In general, when we get in to such situation, we see that talk spreading slowly and the movie expected to do well on Sunday but it did not happen with Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda. The movie collections continued to take a dip as days progressed. And Analysts say it did not get its due on Sunday.
On the other side, Heart Attack despite its poor talk and reviews surprised the audience. Surprisingly, the collections of Sunday (the third day) are higher than the opening day which is very rare for big films. In a sense, PPT is not doing well despite good talk and Heart Attack continue to draw crowds despite its dismal talk and reviews.
As per the Matinee reports we got on Monday, Both the movies opened bad on the first week day. If this situation continues, one more twist in the tale will be at both the films may not be able to break even despite their run at the box office.
