There seem to be a mad rush at Tollywood box office for the upcoming Mahasivaratri. The festival falls on February 27th, Thursday and 29th and 30th are weekend holidays. So, many small movies are aiming at February 27th/28th release so as to cash the holiday season benefit.
Usually big films do not leave any good gap at the box office but this time, no biggie is eyeing the slot and hence small films will make merry in the last week of February.
Naga Chaitanya's Autonagar Surya, Nani's Jenda Pai Kapiraju, Sekhar Kammula's Anamika and Navdeep's Bangaru Kodi Petta are currently in race. Except Anamika, all the movies have released their music albums and are gearing up their promotional activity.
A senior distributor from Nizam says, "Give no big releases releasing and Yevadu/1-Nenokkadine losing their steam. In all probability, all the four movies can be accommodated at the box office. It is after a long time in Telugu audience will be getting a chance of choice with interesting films coming at a time".
