It was a heart wrenching story of a little boy who gets separated from his parents and gets stranded in a desert with his dog. Famous character artist Gollapudi Maruthi Rao scripted the film.
The film is one of the classical film ever made in Telugu film industry. Very few know, Papam Pasivadu is remake of South African film Lost in the Desert (Dirkie) (1969) directed by Jamie Uys.
