With Akkineni family Multistarer, Manam crossing the one million dollars gross at the US box office, Samantha becomes the first and only heroine to have five films out of the total nine films in the club. Samantha achieved the rare feat with Attarintiki Daredi, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Dookudu, Eega and Manam. Shruti Hassan is the only heroine who comes close to her with two films in the million dollars club i.e., Gabbar Singh and Race Gurram.
Manam entered the one million dollars club on Monday, the fourth day of its release. The excellent word of mouth and superb reviews helped the film immensely at the box office. Also the the long weekend due to Memorial Day holiday (on Monday) helped the movie at the box office. Akkineni fans are expecting the movie to collect a minimum of 1.5 Million dollars in the full run.
