There are commercial directors, there are mainstream masala directors, there are also the new wave cinema directors but there is hardly a director who believes in a noble revolution in Tollywood. But here is one man who seems to believe in his conviction and shape up films. His name is Raj Madiraju and he made his mark with the film ‘Rushi’. The film was hailed as a clean entertainer with sensitive and thought provoking points to think of. It has also produced a valuable asset in the form of hero Arvind Krishna who is being touted as the Hrithik Roshan for Tollywood. Raj who showed a noble approach towards cinema got the 'Best Debut Director' award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film festival, Greater Noida. The film also got shortlisted from about 800 films for screening at Marbella International Film Festival, Spain. The recent shot in the arm is ‘Rushi’ getting a Nandi award to Raj as Best Story Writer followed by a Jury award for the producer Ramesh Prasad. Whether Raj will take this noble revolution forward with yet another eye-opening film or not we have to wait and see.
