Victory Venkatesh may have done more remake films in his career more than any other star hero. In one of his interviews, Venkatesh says he is guaranteed about the output of remake films instead of having to read the minds of filmmakers when they narrate him the scripts. Venkatesh last acted in the successful remake of Malayalam film Drishyam with the same name and is gearing up to do one more.
This new remake is a Tamil film titled 'Salim' starring Vijay Anthony and Aksha directed by NV Nirmal Kumar. The film is an action thriller but has won so much of critical acclaim. Suresh Productions will be funding this project and the director of the film is yet to be finalized. It is said that Venkatesh will oodles of weight for this character in the film and will look very young in the film. Venkatesh is currently starring in Gopala Gopala - the remake of Bollywood blockbuster, Oh My God.
From 2009, Venkatesh has acted in 10 films and out of those six are remake films - Eenadu, Nagavalli, Bodyguard, Masala, Drushyam, Gopala Gopala. Interestingly only one of these are successful and other is currently in production. The film will go on floors once Venkatesh completes the shooting of Gopala Gopala.
