The business model of Film production is so flawed that several successful producers of the past have stopped or decreased making films. Dil Raju is the only producer in the recent times who has been churning out films one after the other. But the crisis had hit Dil Raju too and now the ace producer is in a severe financial crunch.
Dil Raju has not had a success in his production for a long time and for that reason he slowed down considerably and is concentrating more on film distribution. Recently he was supposed to produce the Telugu remake of Bangalore Days along with PVP Cinemas. The announcement of the project has also come but now the ace producer has opted out of it.
Dil Raju wants to keep the film budget well in control and execute it with a small hero. On the other side, Potluri Vara Prasad wants to have it made at extravagant budget and is looking to rope in stars for the film. So Dil Raju has backed out of the project citing his poor finances. On the other side, he has pinned high hopes on his next production, Subrahmanyam for Sale starring Sai Dharam Tej and directed by Harish Shankar to recover some how from this mess.
