It is apparent that Piracy is killing the impact and the collections of the movie. Piracy has become so common leaving the producers in deep neck crisis.
So, taking a very bold step, the Tamil Film Industry are setting ahead to shut down the film industry for three months and kill piracy that is prevailing rampant. As the producers are left with no other choice, most of them gave a nod to the decision of shutting down the industry for three months.
However talks about this are going on seriously. The head of the Tamil Film Producers Council, Kalaipuli S Thanu, said that the news was true and talks are on. He said "We are on the considering to shut down the industry for three months and are currently in discussions with the concerned departments and businesses."
There is definitely other side of the coin and one of the opposing producer said "When we are already in huge losses with the piracy issue, shutting down the whole industry will make the things worse for the dependent people. Their survival itself will remain a big issue and needs a lot of attention before taking the final decision."
